Terms of Agreement for weekly lessons
1. Lessons and Payment:
1.1. The Studio agrees to provide piano lessons to the Student on a weekly basis throughout the school year.(We follow skolekalender for public holidays and school holidays)
Each calendar year consists of around 36-38 weeks of lessons.
The Autumn semester starts in August to December (Approximately 15-16 lessons)
The Spring semester starts in January to June (Approximately 21-22 lessons)
1.2. Invoices will be sent per semester, payment for each invoice must be made in accordance with the due dates specified on the invoice.
1.3 The student who enrolls during the middle of the academic year will receive lessons aligned with the remaining teaching weeks and will be invoiced accordingly.
2. Cancellations, Non-Attendance, and Make-Up Lessons
2.1 Last-Minute Absence Notification:
If a student cannot attend a lesson, the parent or guardian must inform the teacher at least 48 hours before the scheduled lesson time. Exceptions apply in cases of illness, where timely notification is appreciated.
Lessons canceled by students are not eligible for refunds or make-up sessions unless the absence is communicated 48 hours in advance.
2.2 Extended Absence Notification:
For planned absences lasting up to two weeks, students must notify the teacher at least two weeks in advance.
2.3 Rescheduling Missed Lessons:
Lessons missed due to planned absences may be rescheduled later, subject to the teacher's availability.
2.4 Lesson Expiry:
All lessons must be completed within the same academic year.
3. Teacher's Absence:
3.1. If the teacher cannot conduct a scheduled lesson, the teacher will be responsible for arranging a substitute teacher or rescheduling the lesson with the student.
3.2. If a substitute teacher cannot be arranged, the lesson will be rescheduled at a mutually agreed upon time.
4. Semester Concert and Events:
4.1. A semester concert will be held at the end of each semester, and all Students are recommended to participate.
4.2. Students and families are encouraged to attend music-related events the teacher introduces.
4.3. Parents are responsible for covering the costs of attending these events.
5. Termination:
Either party may terminate this contract with written notice sent via email under the following conditions:
5.1. Termination must occur before the 15th of December for the autumn semester or before the 15th of June for the spring semester, by a written note submitted to dolcemusic.no@gmail.com.
5.2. After the first two lessons of the semester, termination is no longer permitted for the duration of that semester.
5.3. If no termination notice is given by the specified dates, the contract will automatically extend to the next semester.
6. Media Rights:
By enrolling in Dolce Music Studio, students and their guardians (if the student is under 18 years old) grant the studio the irrevocable right and permission to capture, use, reproduce, and publish photographs, videos, and audio recordings of the student taken during lessons, recitals, workshops, and other studio-related events. These materials may be used for, but are not limited to:
6.1 Display on Dolce Music Studio’s official website, social media accounts, newsletters, and marketing materials.
6.2 Sharing recordings of lessons or performances for educational purposes within the studio community.
6.3 Maintaining a record of studio activities and events for historical or internal reference.
Dolce Music Studio agrees to use these materials respectfully and will not disclose personal information, such as full names or contact details, without explicit written consent. Guardians or students who wish to opt out of media use must submit a written request prior to the start of the semester.
